The passport is expected to ensure that individuals possess a recognised level of safety knowledge and awareness on sites.
The training and testing are available through partners around the world through the organisation’s international arm ECITB Global. It is also suitable for all levels of the workforce.
The e-IHSP Course content is the same as the face to face version of the course. Once successfully through the fully proctored final assessment, candidates receive a photographic passport card and certificate to show they can work safely on sites across a range of sectors, assuring their competence to supervisors and managers. Completing the foundation level course can then lead to the advanced and supervisor levels.
Tristan Kemp, head of ECITB Global, said: “We know safe sites are more productive and more attractive to workers, investors and clients alike, and with health and safety now a legal obligation in an increasing number of countries, it is a great time to secure the wellbeing of all levels of your workforce.”
