A-Plant invests £24 million in new plant equipment11 June 2012
Equipment rental company A-Plant has placed orders for new plant and equipment worth over £24 million.
The investment follows on from the company's £26 million order in September 2011 and forms the second phase of a major £60 million ongoing programme for its hire fleet this year.
Joining the fleet are dumpers, excavators, pedestrian rollers and forklift telehandlers, supplied by manufacturers such as Doosan, Terex and JCB.
"We recognise that customers want the most recent and best quality machines. Investment in this equipment will help to achieve this," says Sat Dhaiwal, CEO of A-Plant.
"Oover the next five years we plan to invest over £330 million in new equipment to ensure that we have one of the youngest, most extensive and state-of-the-art fleets of equipment in the hire industry," he adds.
