3M to protect WorldSkills London 2011 competitors 28 September 2011
3M is supporting the world's greatest international skills competition, WorldSkills London 2011, next week by providing participants with a range of PPE (personal protective equipment).
The event, which takes place between 5—8 October at ExCeL London, sees 1,000 competitors, from more than 50 countries, competing in a range of disciplines, from engineering to manufacturing and construction.
3M is supporting the welding category, and has provided welding shields, helmets, hearing protection, protective eyewear and RPE (respiratory protective equipment) for all the participants.
"3M is committed to supporting educational projects, like WorldSkills London 2011, by sharing our products and expertise," comments Caroline Smith, marketing manager of the 3M Safety Solutions Division.
"By providing a range of PPE, such as welding shields and respirators, we can make sure participants are getting the best protection possible so they only need to focus on the task at hand," she adds.
