The EMEC Marine Fan has been designed with precision and built to endure the harshest environments.
With the continuing challenges inherent to maritime operations – including corrosion from saltwater exposure – the need for corrosion-resistant, energy-efficient solutions continues to grow. The EMEC Marine Fan from Elta is engineered to offer engineers, shipbuilders, and HVAC specialists the reliability and performance essential for modern installations.
By using advanced brushless DC technology, the EMEC Marine Fan is said to deliver energy efficiency while keeping noise levels low. Available in 250mm and 315mm, the fan provides air volume flow rates of up to 0.658 m³/s and can reach static pressures of 683 Pa. The motor carries an IP56 protection rating and is powered by a 24V DC supply, making it ideally suited to resist corrosive environments while performing reliably in temperatures up to 40°C.
Emphasising the fan’s durability is its robust, all-metal casing. Constructed from mild steel and treated for full corrosion protection, the casing is available in either powder-coated white (RAL 9016) or premium 316L stainless steel finishes.
Key design features include aerofoil impellers made from high-quality Glass reinforced plastic (GRP) and factory set at an angle to provide maximum performance.
According to Elta, the fan is set to reduce downtime and servicing costs, offering a more sustainable solution in terms of both performance and lifecycle costs.
Noise performance has also been carefully considered and the design is claimed to ensure quieter operation, making it an ideal choice for sound-sensitive installations. By addressing key industry challenges such as noise control, corrosion, and energy efficiency, the EMEC Marine Fan represents a significant advancement in marine ventilation technology.
Steve Hoile, applied technology business development at Elta, said: “The design of our EMEC Marine Fan prioritises efficiency, durability, and low noise operation, meaning our product stands out in a market where reliability is paramount. This new fan exemplifies Elta’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of engineering innovation.”
