The certifications include third-party international legal standards for quality, environmental, and safety management systems respectively.
Michael Edwards, quality manager at Burckhardt Compression (US), said: “Achieving this for both divisions is the culmination of strategic planning and the hard work of multiple teams at Waller. This brings our accreditations in line with our other international facilities and reinforces our commitment to quality in all areas of the business, whether that’s in terms of products, services, sustainability or safety.”
The Waller facility achieved its accreditations after an evidenced-based internal audit to establish if it conformed to ISO norms, followed by a three-day in-person third-party assessment by Bureau Veritas involving interviews with key employees and a review of all relevant documentation. Long-term planning ahead of the audits meant that no changes in practices were required for either division to meet ISO standards.
Rob Leger, director, QEOHS at Burckhardt Compression (US), added: “We are here to create leading compression solutions for a sustainable energy future. This relies on managing our environmental impact, the quality of our products and services, and reaching the highest standards for safety. These ISO accreditations show our customers and partners that we are serious in attaining these goals.”
The long-term aim is to bring all Burckhardt Compression (US) facilities up to the same certification. Consequently, customers can expect the highest management standards for both compression products and services.
